Darrenn White
Head Coach of 9-12 Grade Team, 5 years with the team.
Darrenn White is in his fifth year with the organization and it is also his first year as head coach. He is from Kansas City, Missouri and has a long history in the realm of football. Coach white was a student-athlete at University Academy (UA) under the leadership of Damon Paul. At UA he was an All State QB! He also won 2010 Frank Fontana Award. Coach White earned a scholarship to play Division 1 football at the University of Wyoming (UW), where he played as a Cornerback and Safety. He was a senior captain of the Wyoming Cowboys and had a successful career on special teams.
He kicked off his high school coaching career in 2015 at University Academy.
Chris Bergida
Coach, Second Year with KC Elite Mongoose
Coach Chris Bergida is in his first-year coaching with the KC Elite Mongoose! This past fall he, was the quarterbacks and offensive/defensive line coach for the University Academy middle school football team. Coach Bergida also assisted the UA high school team.
Although new to the Kansas City football scene, Coach Bergida has over Seven years of youth football coaching experience from his time in Virginia!
Jackson Beckett
Coach, Second Year with KC Elite Mongoose
Coach Beckett is a newcomer to the KC Elite Mongoose organization. He attended University Academy Gryphon, where he participated in three district championship football teams. He also garnered All-District honors for his role on both defense and offense. Beckett received All-State honors for his skills as a defensive player during his time with the UA Gryphons.
Upon graduating University Academy, Beckett continued his athletics career at Truman State University. There, he played as a wide receiver and won a conference championship in 2016. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics.
He now works as a Data Scientist in Overland Park, and resides in KCMO with his wife Hannah, dog Phoebe, and rabbit Hazel.
Ricky Thompson
Football Coach, Personal Training and Strength and Conditioning coach

Im Ricky Thompson a Certificate Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach here in Kansas City, MO. Over 10 years of experience training athletes I aim to prevent injuries while helping athletes increase there speed, agility and strength. Helping the youth reach their full potential physically and mentally is my goal.
Raymond Ogletree
Team Photographer/Videographer
I’m Raymond Ogletree, a photographer/videographer here in Kansas City, Mo. I have 3 years experience with photography. I’m going to be following the team around taking photos and getting film for the coaches.
Landon Hooton
Coach Defense Secondary, and Receiver
I have played football for 7 years as a wide receiver and safety, 3 of those years on the Kansas City Elite Mongoose 7v7 football team, and this is my first year of coaching. I am a part of the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I am also a student at the University of Kansas studying Human Biology. I believe that each player should strive to reach their full potential while still enjoying this amazing game.
Steve Williams
Consultant/Coach
Coach, 9 years with the team.
Coach Steve Williams is in his eighth year with the KC ELITE MONGOOSE organization. He came on board when it all began back in 2013 and worked with the DB's. He has quite the football background as former DB for the NFL's San Diego Chargers.
Coach Williams believes every athlete needs to have athleticism, dedication, and respect for their game. He as a BS Degree in Finance and Education with a Masters in Education and ESL. He is currently an elementary teacher in Kansas City.
From his perspective, young men participating in the program will learn how to carry themselves with respect and dignity on and off the field.
Artist Lewis
Director of Operations, Founder
Artist Lewis is the founder and current Director of Operations for KC Elite Mongoose. He's been coaching football for more than 28 years total, 14 of those years include 7v7. He believes that the best coaches in the country take their player's performance personal. He wants the students to be the best and thus has given them his best on the field.
His practice and teaching philosophies consist of the following:
1. Out practice our opponents.
2. Believe that you are the best coach and teacher in the league. If the players don’t believe, we won’t win.
3. I must be a great teacher and coachable coach.
4. Utilize teaching aids.
5. Great Enthusiasm and Positive Outlook.
6. Be consistent.
7. Be a hard worker on and off the field, as a coach and role model.
He has specialized in coaching Running backs, but has worn many hats for the Mongoose squad ranging from Running Backs Coach to Head Coach. Now, he is happily wearing the hat of director and looks forward to focusing on helping the Mongoose organization expand.
